We love talking about brains!
Love your Brain! is an engagement programme from the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences. We're dedicated to ensuring that the undergraduate teaching programme at Oxford Medical School is fully engaged with the local community and serving the needs of those living with neurological conditions in Oxfordshire.
Free community events
We run free events across schools and community centres in Oxfordshire all about brain health, including short talks, brain-friendly creative activities like origami as we our giant inflatable brain. These events are opportunity for people to learn more about keeping your brain healthy.
Love your Brain! Is part of the wider project 'Diversifying medical education while addressing health inequity', funded by the University of Oxford's Strategic Innovation Fund, which aims to tackle unmet neurological health needs within underserved communities in Oxfordshire. Its Principal Investigator is Professor Gabriele DeLuca. Additional support is provided by the Humanities Division. We're also working closely with colleagues at Quinnipiac University, Connecticut, USA, who are developing a similar project.
